Citrus fruits are an excellent source of vitamin c, which is a great nutrient that strengthens the immune system.
Citrus fruits also have a great amount of vitamins and minerals that keeps the body fit and gives a fresh and smooth skin, like vitamins A&B, magnesium, potassium, copper and phosphorus. Citrus fruits are also rich in plants compounds like anti inflammatory agents and antioxidants.
They are a good source of fiber; fiber on the other hand has several health benefits, such as improving digestive health and aiding weight loss. It also helps lower cholesterol levels.

Citrus fruits also help to fight and protect the body from cancer cells such as stomach, breast, pancreatic, and lung cancer.
These fruits contain plant compound including flavonoids which acts as antioxidant and may block the expression of certain genes that are responsible for some degenerative diseases including cancer.
Citrus fruits also reduce the risk of kidney stones, brain dysfunction, and heart diseases.
