It Happened at the Seat of the Caliphate
The residents of Sokoto, North West Nigeria blew their Kakaki with joy as they played host to the members of the Association of Medical Social Workers of Nigeria. The Association had her 2017 Annual National Scientific Conference and General Meeting from 23rd to 27th October 2017 at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital Sokoto.
The event was an opportunity for Medical Social Workers, Community Development Officers and other related groups to update their knowledge and skills for effective service delivery. It also provided a forum for a review of contemporary Medical Social Work to achieve global standard and enrich the network of members across the country.Worthy of note is that the services of these professionals are readily available in most secondary and tertiary hospitals in the country.
